WSJ: Get Real (Time)

The latest Wall Street scandal involves late trading of mutual funds and is a plot right out of the movie “The Sting,” scamming a mark into thinking a horse race that has finished hasn’t yet taken place. Technology has made our world real time, yet the Street has been slow to provide these real time systems to us. Why? Well, the temptation is too huge when you already know the outcome, but keep everyone else in the dark.
